“DIY has an exclusive look at the brand new video from My Tiger My Timing.
Accompanying their latest single ‘Let Me Go’, the band teamed up with Visitor, who directed the nightmarish clip.
The visuals themselves see frontwoman Anna as she is kidnapped and dragged into a creepy dream world by a ragged storybook monster; a concept that ties perfectly with the the track’s title.
‘Let Me Go’ is taken from the band’s debut album ‘Celeste’, which was released back in July, and they’ll be performing in London very soon.”
We’re super excited to announce that Let Me Go is BBC 6 Music’s Breakfast Show Record of the Week all this week!
Massive thanks to Shaun Keaveny and the Breakfast Show team for the support
Very pleased to announce that our next single will be LET ME GO and comes out on the 5th November just in time for fireworks!
Check it out on This Is Fake DIY today…

Thank you, much love,
We are very excited to announce that our NEW SINGLE ‘The Gold Rush’ will be released through Snakes & Ladders on 25th June 2012. You can stream the single right here!
It’s our fifth single and we’re doing something a bit special for the video – read on to see how you can be involved…
We have decided to take a truly DIY approach to making the accompanying video by asking YOU, our friends, to contribute footage to the project. We want submissions to be as creative as possible, so you have two options:
- EITHER film yourself (or your band or your little sister or your cat) performing the song
- OR interpret the song visually in another way and capture this on camera, ie animation, dance, finger puppets, collage, tattoos…
You could think about themes surrounding GOLD, WINNING and LOSING, GAMBLING, SELF, FAITH (or lack thereof)…
In return you’ll get a free download of the single, free entry to any show of your choice (not including festivals) and a credit on the video.
All you need to do to get involved is contact us at email@example.com with your details and we will send you a download link and lyrics.
Deadline for submissions is Monday 18th June (or thereabouts) so get cracking!
I never thought I’d write these words!
We are very pleased and proud to announce that our debut album is coming out on July 2nd buy jumping castle.
It’s called ‘Celeste’ and will be released through our own Snakes & Ladders label.
This has been a truly DIY process, and we have put everything into this record, our time, (all) our money, our energy, our sanity and most of all, our hearts. There have been times when it would have been easier to give up, but we didn’t, and I really feel we’ve made something true and good, a modern pop record for these dark and uncertain times. Thank you to everyone who helped us along the way, to everyone who picked us up in the tough times and cheered us on in the good, this one’s for you.
To celebrate today, we’re releasing a free stream of the opening track from the album, ‘Wasteland’. Hope you like it:

A belated happy new year to you all – we’ve been working so hard on this album that we skipped out January altogether and came up smiling in Feb just in time to get snowed in.
We are putting the very final touches to our forthcoming album actually today (taking a short blog break as you see) and we are so excited for you all to hear it dear readers.
In the meantime, enjoy the snow and check out our revamped Music page – now a comprehensive collection of everything we’ve done to date (including singles, old demos, live radio sessions, remixes – including a great one from the archives by the excellent Django Django -, covers, collabs, b-sides etc).
Back in the day the label would’ve released all this as an overpriced ‘rarities’ disc, but it’s all yours for absolutely nada if you want it.
Here’s snow in your eye!
